Step 2: Drink 8 Cups of Water Every Day (Annual Weight Loss: 26 Pounds!)Yes, the magic elixir really does have amazing powers. In one study, a group of 173 overweight women were put through diet and nutrition training using mainstream diet programs. Researchers then followed them for 10 months, with dietary and body composition being recorded up to 12 months after the classes. All women in the program lost weight, but those drinking more water lost more weight. Drinking more than 1 liter of water per day (nearly 4½ cups) was associated with an extra 5.07 pounds lost in 12 months. And researchers from the University of Utah found that people who drink the most water have higher metabolisms. In a study, subjects drank 4, 8, or 12 cups of water each day. Those who drank at least 8 cups reported better concentration and higher energy levels, and tests showed that they were burning more calories than the 4-cups-a-day group. Racun serangga organik




PENGGUNAAN racun serangga berasaskan bahan kimia dalam tempoh panjang memberi kesan kepada manusia, termasuk masalah kulit dan kemusnahan alam sekitar. Justeru, kini ramai yang beralih menggunakan bahan organik. Pakar Hortikultur, Abdul Rahim Rashid menunjukkan cara mudah, murah dan selamat menghasilkan racun serangga organik yang boleh dihasilkan sendiri di rumah.

PADA keluaran 8 November lalu, saya menjanjikan sesuatu yang mudah, menarik, murah dan selamat untuk menghasilkan bahan membunuh serangga perosak dan mengawal penyakit menggunakan bahan organik.

Setiap kali mengadakan program seminar atau bengkel berkenaan landskap, saya sering kali diajukan persoalan mengenai pencegahan penyakit, racun yang biasa di gunakan dan cara menggunakan.

Selain itu, kerap juga mendengar mengenai cara penggunaan racun perosak berasaskan bahan kimia yang tidak betul serta boleh mengundang bahaya jikalau salah menggunakan serta cara penyimpanannya.

Konsep yang biasanya saya terangkan adalah konsep mengawal lebih baik dari mengubat terutama pada prinsip penyelenggaraan. Adakah anda terfikir bahawa bahan di dapur di sekeliling kita amat sesuai sebagai pencegah dan perawat serangan perosak dan penyakit pokok.

Kerengga perosak buah.

Tidak perlu memikirkan jenis racun kimia yang dibeli, bagaimana untuk menyimpan di tempat selamat, serta cara yang betul menggunakannya. Cuba anda fikirkan kesan dan akibat salah penggunaan bahan kimia ini.

Sebelum bercerita lanjut berkenaan cara untuk penyediaan bahan berkenaan, berikutan senarai jenis serangga perosak ini.

Serangga jenis mengunyah

  • Kumbang
  • Belalang
  • Kupu-kupu
  • Ulat Bulu
  • Siput
  • Lintah Bulan


Serangga jenis menghisap (Pembawa virus dan penyakit)
  • Aphis @ Aphid @ kutu Daun
  • Koya
  • Pianggang
  • Teritip (Scaler)
  • Kulat Putih

Penyediaan bahan Larutan stok

  • 1 liter Air
  • 1 Sudu Besar Minyak Masak / minyak sayur
  • 1 Sudu besar sabun basuh
  • 4 - 6 Ulas bawang putih ( ditumbuk )


Langkah
  • Masukkan minyak masak atau minyak sayur dan sabun ke dalam 1 liter air
  • Tumbuk 4 - 6 ulas bawang putih dan masukkan ke dalam larutan tadi.
  • Setelah dikacau , tapiskan
  • Untuk penyemburan : campurkan 1 bahagian Larutan Stok dengan 4 bahagian air.


Bagi serangan serangga jenis mengunyah, campurkan beberapa 2-3 biji cili api/masak (hancurkan ) atau lada hitam (ditumbuk) manakala serangan serangga jenis menghisap, anda perlu campurkan beberapa titis minyak listari (essential oil) atau halia (ditumbuk) atau serbuk kunyit. Bahan ini adalah campuran yang biasa saya nasihatkan kepada kepada suri rumah atau penggemar landskap dalam kuantiti yang sedikit. Selain daripada itu, ekstrak tumbuhan lain bagi tujuan kawalan serangga perosak dalam kuantiti yang besar adalah:

Ekstrak bawang

Kawal penyakit reput antraknos pokok cili serta hawar cili. Hancurkan 50 gm bawang dalam 1 liter air. Tapis dan semburkan pada pokok.

Campuran minyak kayu putih (Tea Tree Mixture)

Untuk mengawal penyakit lecuh. Campur 5 ml minyak kayu putih ke dalam 10-20 liter air. Gunakan dengan cara basahkan tanah di sekeliling pokok (Soil Drenching).

Ekstrak halia

Kawalan penyakit kulapuk. Kisar 20 gm halia dalam 1 liter air. Tapis dan sembur 3 kali seminggu.

Ekstrak daun Neem (semambu)

Untuk kawalan vektor seperti kutu daun, teritip dan lalat putih. Campurkan 2 kg daun Neem yang sudah di tumbuk lumat bersama dengan 30g sabun basuh. Tinggalkan semalaman dan tapis. Setiap 5 liter bahagian dicampurkan dengan 15 liter air dan semburkan ke pokok.

Ekstrak bawang putih

Juga untuk kawalan vektor seperti kutu daun dan teritip serta lalat putih. Campurkan 100 gm bawang putih dicincang dalam 0.5 liter air.

Tambahkan 10 ml minyak masak dan 10 gm sabun. Tinggalkan semalaman dan tapiskan. Untuk semburan, campurkan larutan campuran bersama air dengan nisbah 1:200.

Hakikatnya, bahan yang ada di sekeliling kita amat mudah ditemui dan dengan kos yang rendah, saya percaya penggunaan racun serangga kimia dapat dielakkan. Hasil yang didapati akan lebih baik malah boleh tidak perlu risau akan kesan sampingannya. Paling penting, ia murah, mudah dan senang.
